Evanston, Illinois fast food restaurant Wiener and Still Champion (awesome name!) is already locally famous for their hunky cheeseburgers, fresh-cut french fries, and bacon-wrapped hot dogs. But now they’ve added a new menu item that deserves national attention.

For an extra charge of just $1.50, any burger on Wiener’s menu now comes with a thick patty of deep-fried gravy. The golden-brown crust of the patty adds a big crunch to the burger, and then on first bite, the hot gravy comes oozing out all over everything, ensuring each bite remains juicy and gravy-licious.

certainly not on a burger. I wonder if they just freeze the gravy and then coat it. I suppose they'd have to.

and we concluded the same thing. It's probably a lot like fried ice cream we have at tex-mex restaurants around here. They just let it go longer so the gravy melts...(fried ice cream doesn't get melted - just softens up)

I'm now going to lobby the Tudors to expand to central Florida.

I mean, come on...We have Disney World, Hub Cap World, Giant Recreation World, Sea World, Ski World, Fun World, Soccer World, Birthday World, Balloon World, Window World, Paintball World....

It's a damn sin that we don't have Biscuit World.

But really: doesn't this look more like fair food than something you'd eat the rest of the year?

Have some deep-fried mushrooms, a bowl of deep-fried ice cream and a couple of deep-fried Snickers with that, and you've got the perfect State Fair Heart Attack on a Stick.

Although this thing is probably pretty tasty. Eat one per fiscal quarter and you'll be fine.
