As much as I despise Nicholas Cage, I have to admit I enjoy the National Treasure movies. Call it a guilty pleasure if you want, but I think they are fun. Since both movies made a ton of money and Nicolas Cage had said they were doing a third, why haven't they yet? IMO, Oak Island would be a great subject matter to tackle and search for treasure. A friend of mine says there is a Facebook page trying to get the ball rolling to do a third and since Nicholas Cage shoots about 6-8 movies a year I am sure he can squeeze this one in. So, who wants to see a NT3 movie?

(5,062 posts)I had not heard that. YES! I am a happy camper now. I worry sometimes when they wait too long to make a sequel. Thanks for the update!

(20,176 posts)I'm not a fan of Opus Dei either. They built a dorm at my Alma Mater and named it after themselves. It's a lovely building but if I had a million dollars I might pay the school to rename it after Dorothy Day.

(20,176 posts)They really like the streetscape in front of the bar he used to work at. He's out of focus but he's the bartender visible through the window at the bar in Philly that Nic Cage gets arrested in front of in the first movie. They liked the location so much that they came back to shoot street scenes for the second one and the bar owner made them put the staff in the film as extras as a condition of signing the shooting release because the facade of the building is visible.
