sat next to me in typing class in high school. Sweet lady....prom queen in her senior year, escorted by Dock. Naturally the school was in all kinds of state baseball finals with Dock pitching those years.

My other claim to fame....I shared a gym locker with actress Teresa Graves, also in HS. She was never there, so I had it all to myself!

I never threw a no-hitter on LSD, but I once wrote an A+ blue-book exam on Middle English lit when I was tripping. "Peerless" the prof wrote.

... but in the 9th inning of the game in my head, the catcher would come out and ask me why I'm just standing there, not throwing any pitches, just staring at the plate.

And my answer would be, of course, "cactus", as the manager guides me off the field.

Peerless indeed. I'd have been lucky (or not) just to find the classroom.

I'm fairly experienced with LSD in my younger years. I bowled my best game and had a very good night at a poker table while under the influence. But it's unpredictable. There were also trips where I could hardly stand up for 12 hours because I was laughing so hard. The worst thing on an LSD trip is to be around people who aren't. That night at the bowling alley I was with some friends who were also tripping.

Ellis, needless to say, was a very interesting guy. Had an unmistakable integrity, too. Well worth watching:
