I just saw it today. I won't post any spoilers, but hoooooollllllyyyyy crap, it was awesome! I'd say it's as good as the first one. About as scary, lots of humor and the last 15 minutes was fan-freaking-tastic.

(8,217 posts)Watched it on 3D since it was what made sense for my time frame.
I would have preferred watching Standard though.
3D makes me dizzy.

Yes, I think it stands up quite nicely to the original Jurassic Park.

Totally predictable story lines and vague re-hashed sub-plots. Unimaginative dialogue, boring characters. It really was just a re-write of the original 3 or 4 (I forget how many there's been) with identical scenarios.
The critters were really well done so cheers to the special effects people who were definitely the only people who actually worked on this film. The rest of the entire cast & crew, from the actors, producers and writers, just phoned the whole thing allllllll in.
But hey, that's Hollywood. Never take a chance on something new, innovative and daring. Just stick to the same old predictable and effective story lines, ka-ching.
On Edit, ok seriously? Through a jungle in a white suit AND white high heeled shoes and not a smudge in sight? Come on people! And the Channing Tatum look-a-like? Pfffffft. No imagination. Ok, now I'm more pissed off at this film than at the recent debacle of the Planet of the Apes re-hashing. I just hate predictability, I really do. I want surprise, and imagination and glory and harrow. Today's writers just really suck, clearly under the lame ass direction of the studios. Meh, Hollywood ain't what it used to be. I'll stop ranting now, lol.
So glad I didn't pay to see it!
