So my daughter's boyfriend just called me to ask for my blessing. A proposal is coming in a week.

He's in Alaska, she's in Richmond, Va., working at the Federal Reserve Bank for the summer. He's flying down for the fourth of July and will pop the question then.
He's the only "real" boyfriend
she ever had. I couldn't be happier. A great guy, she's safe with him, and of course I gave my blessing.
I know her answer will be yes. She has one more semester at the U of Alaska, (math major), and then the wedding.
I have had some rough spots in my life, but my four children have been a source of great pride and joy.

In the middle of a sideways windy rain that filled the BLM pond and brought the toads out. They were roaring this morning.

two big gross Colorado River toads in the dog water dish every night though. they like to sit in their toilet. it is always so disgusting in the morning.

I am jealous of full ponds, ours are all dry and have been for a while now.
