Best Bathing Suits for the Mature Figure

I would rather peel a vat of potatos, mop a thousand floors, fold clothes for the Duggar family than to go searching through department stores for a bathing suit. However, there comes a time when one must looks oneself in the mirror critically, and this is one time I can put it off no longer.

So, I hear there are great designs out there that make this process painless. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I worry about being harpooned. And if I just lie on the beach, some do-gooder from Greenpeace is likely to show up and drag me back into the water.

Shorts or a skirted bottom and a simple top. Easier to get off and on without a struggle.

Mix and match tops and bottoms, and the fit was true. Go by your measurements and you should find something you like.

Good luck!

Their suits are on sale now, although some styles are in limited sizes. I went with a two-piece suit. Good quality and true to size.

but I freaking love to swim - sorry, I am not giving up something I love to do to hide myself from gawkers. fuck 'em. I don't wear bike shorts to restaurants, but I am allowed to play in the water!

the painless part is ordering on line, I hate clothes shopping for anything - always have, even when I was young, hot, and thin.

I wear a one piece "sarong" style, if I wear one at all. and I rip out those ridiculous foam cups. Can ANYBODY make a suit without those things?

get out the eye-bleach cause the water is FINE!

They are expensive so you have to shop for sales, but I'm a D cup & it can be hard to find a bathing suit that addresses that particular issue.

Dillards had the best selection of Miracle suits. The ones I tried on didn't really justify the cost. But I did see a few on the site page that I wouldn't mind trying.

Next time I get one I will get board shorts and a rash guard shirt with long sleeves the ultimate sunblock ( I am very fair) When we went snorkeling in the Keys and Cozumel, we bought full length skin suits sort of like wetsuits except Lycra. 100% sunblock. very nice in the water and cool when you got out. Getting them on when sweaty is another issue altogether though.

But other people said Macys was good.

I did get a tankini top rather quickly through the mail. They give you options for expedited mail. I followed their sizing instructions and nailed it on the first try.

I got some Black shorti-shorts from Dilliards to go along with it.

Also bought a one piece at Macys. Black with plenty of cover in the right places. Half price.

Here is the Tankini I got online:
