Then you eat only during the other six? I've started it and it is not that hard so far. Let's see if I can keep it up.

(12,037 posts)I read somewhere that you get a biological "re-set" with a 48 hour fast, so I gave it a try. Never again. You get nauseated and weak and dizzy. But 24 hours is manageable.

I'm probably wrong, but doesn't fasting like that just get rid of "water-weight"?

(53,339 posts)I've never been a big eater and facial injuries in young adulthood left me with dental and other deficits whch make eating more of a challenge.
I have never been overweight in my life and never had to diet. A diet tailored to my needs would mean MORE food.
At the moment I'm trying to eat more, as I've seen the telltale symptoms that I'm not eating enough--my face starting to look gaunt with cheeks starting to sink.
Of course, the root of my problem could be that I'm just not drinking enough beer.
