Dave Zbaracki from Duluth took a picture of a bear in his backyard, relaxing in a kiddie pool.
Zbaracki says it looked like the bear just wanted to cool off, so he left it alone.

(87,012 posts)I have a vested interest in helping the public understand bear behavior and how to not get both people and bears into bad situations because when those happen, the bear always ends up dead.

(53,339 posts)I was thinking more of the 'children in peril' thing or worse, harmed, and there's only so far we can or should go in making jokes.
But it's also tragic to see unnecessary animal deaths due to unnecessary human contact.
