The Washington Post has a new way to get full access.

If you watch an ad video you get one week's full access to the digital version of the paper.
You have to "resubscribe" each week but it still sounds like a great alternative to paying for a full subscription.

Also some libraries give you full access to The NYTimes.
You log in each day through the library portal to get a one day pass.
