(58,791 posts)what matters is the story and the characters. Great acting, great directing, all the things that go into good story telling.

(12,901 posts)I have climbed around the world. I was on the Eiger in 1979, but not on the North Face. I've always thought the story of Tony Kurz is the greatest story in mountaineering history.

(30,678 posts)my hubby has climbed the Eiger 1000 times--in his mind! I think it's a great sport for films, but I am scared to watch most of them!

(50,594 posts)It is a very simple game: A beheaded goat is placed on the ground and the players are all on horseback. All one needs to do to win the game is to pick up the dead goat and haul it across the goal line. Whoever does it wins the game.
There are, of course, a few complications...there are hundreds of other people on the field trying to do the same thing, the goal line is a mile away, and buzkashi has absolutely no rules so if an opponent wants to kill you to get the goat away, he can.
