I remember his TV stint hosting cowboy films, sponsored by Quaker Puffed Rice, the cereal shot from guns! "Stand back from the televisionary set!" He'd yell before shooting the Quaker cannon, no doubt loaded with cereal, at the camera.

Of course, we all know that Mel Brooks had the all time best tribute to Gabby Hayes.
