(23,182 posts)Man, I am so stoked to be on a board where Captain Beefheart gets posted - WOW! I used to listen to him as a kid, was into Zappa and ran across him and I was hooked. It's been so long, I don't really remember the songs - but I remember an album covered with roses that had some totally awesome music from him.
Anyway, any fan of Beefhearts' is someone cool. Glad you are here and thanks for sharing. Think I may have to go see if I can find some of his music on Spotify.

(15,598 posts)I produce and host a radio program on community station 90.7fm, KSER (Everett, WA) or www.kser.org on Sundays at 1:00pm. I'll play another Beefheart tune in his honor.

(23,182 posts)Hope the people who listen enjoy the tune, he is definitely unique.
Didn't he have a song - Weasles on Parade - or is that a Zappa song, or just something my brain linked up erroneously?

(1,265 posts)The surreal imagery of his songs was unique to say the least. Think he was one of a few people Frank Zappa looked up to.
