(33,643 posts)I love how they come out and torn the roof off with one of their most brutally rocking (and mostly unknown) songs ... the slab of gloom known as Shake Dog Shake ... hell the album it on (The Top) was their only record that ever went out of print, you couldn't find it for like 10 years except used.
Only Robert would show up for this sorta celebration and open with a song that has lyrics like
and dreamed of death
and breathed like sick dogs
Turned out he did it to honor the recent passing of a former band member who played only on one Cure album ... The Top ... but it was still fun. He could've picked like The Caterpillar, but noooooo ...
It just got better from there ...

(8,930 posts)great voices in all of R&R. I met a girl in the early 80s who was into New Wave and she first turned me on to this group. Couldn't help but end up a fan.

(8,930 posts)some of which the covers aren't so great. But I thought the one I posted by the original was pretty great. Like Mr. Lebowski commented above about this show, I too recommend it for anyone surfing YouTube that hasn't heard it.
