(36,827 posts)I called Lifepixel yesterday and they said the blizzard in the Northwest really set their production back so I still have a few more days before I get my converted D5000 returned. I've been meaning to make it up to Decatur, TX to photograph the courthouse. I might have to make that one of my first IR projects.

(36,827 posts)Packing two bodies is not a big deal for me as I'm often bringing a couple of big lenses anyway. Using one body for early and late and another body for mid-day would be nice.

(5,113 posts)what i did was stood on my street and took shots in the 4 directions both early in the day and near sunset,on a day when there where some clouds in the sky to see the result. with my enhanced color camera the best outcome was shooting 90 degrees from the sun at mid day. (deepest blue sky)
