from a distance

In the late afternoon, if the weather conditions are right, you can see Mt. Washington from the the New Durham Ridge, some 60 miles away. Mt. Chocorua is in the foreground to the left, 39 miles away, itself.

That is hauntingly beautiful. I love the way the mountain is so well lit.

I remember once, being on the tour boat in Portland. We were able to see Mt. Washington.
