Big Bend in summer

Went again to Big Bend NP this time with my nephew. It was HOT. To hot. 114 one day

But got some great pictures. I wanted to try and shoot santa elena canyon lit by moonlight but couldnt do it. one night was cloudy and the next night the road was flooded by a desert rainstorm

But heres some of the shots I got

santa elena canyon at sunrise. this is what i wanted to shoot lit by the moon. maybe next time

storm clouds building. this is the storm that ended up flooding teh road to the canyon

sunset in the desert

actually its closed for repairs. no idea when it will reopen

There's an airport about 2 miles from the house and the park rangers will transport you from one to the other. So I can fly my plane directly there without having to worry about renting a car.
