Big Bend in summer

Went again to Big Bend NP this time with my nephew. It was HOT. To hot. 114 one day

But got some great pictures. I wanted to try and shoot santa elena canyon lit by moonlight but couldnt do it. one night was cloudy and the next night the road was flooded by a desert rainstorm

But heres some of the shots I got

There's an airport about 2 miles from the house and the park rangers will transport you from one to the other. So I can fly my plane directly there without having to worry about renting a car.

to get all artsy. needed MORE dark cloud on the top if anything. OR i would crop it just above the hazy mountains.

Can't decide if the sunrise, the sunset or the canyon is my favorite.

All beautiful shots.

Just the right amount of light to make the canyon soar and you captured it beautifully.
