...it is quite charming. I suppose it's probably expensive too, but then it is DC...

...so I may get over there again. But who knows what other adventures await

One thing that amazed me was the escalator coming up out of the Metro to DuPont Circle. It was so long, it gave me butterflies as we kept ascending higher and higher on the moving stairs... strange. I couldn't get a good shot of it though -- the light difference was hard to deal with and even when I kind of got a shot that showed the length of it, it just did not capture the feeling at all.

Interesting how hard it can be to capture things the way we see / feel them.
