(41,692 posts)It's certainly more darker and exciting. I love Helena. Did you see the most recent when she dressed up as Alison?

Loved Jesse Towing, loved the relationship forming between Donnie and Helena.

(9,497 posts)I thought I needed to see where we all can come together and agree. It's Orphan Black!. I don't have cable but I pet sit at houses that do and have been obsessed since marathon watching the first 2 seasons in two weeks last year.
This year was trying to find jobs with pets with people who had BBCAmerica. I finally got to see that whole season last week after patchworking it during the spring.
I think Tatiana Malany is amazing. I swear she changes the bones structure in her face as she goes from one character to the next. If you guys like to read more there is a forum called previosly tv and they have a pretty good area on Orphan Black and a ton of other shows.

(5,946 posts)My brother in law wanted to see the show with me, somewhere along the way, I realized how face pacedthis show is and how absurd it must appear to others,
I tried telling my roommate about it. She was not convinced.
Then she got an Amazon Fire stick and was tooling around. She found it, not remembering it was the show I was talking about and started to watch.
5 episodes at a time. She said it was like crack.
I know. It is .
Her chances of winning are slim, but she is one gifted actress.

(3,350 posts)I am half way through the 3rd season. My daughter has been wanting me to watch it for a couple of years. Well, we have been watching it together since she came home from college for the summer. It's weird that I forget it's Tatiana playing a different character in each scene, she's that good! Helena has become my favorite character.

(1,946 posts)Also a Helena fan and love how she manages to just come in and kick butt! She's a riot. Such a beast but also so sweet with Kyra and Jessie Towing.
They are doing a good job so far, with keeping the story interesting. The cliffhanger showing a 'new' enemy/threat to deal with now. That worm thing....WHAT??? It can be a little confusing sometimes trying to keep who is who straight, mainly the bad guys, but it's still so good.
Tatiana Maslany is incredible in this show as everyone says. And I do often forget that all of the sestras are her. They are all so different and imo none of their characteristics overlap. Even the new manicure girl, I forget her name, is totally different, with her own facial mannerisms. Of course a lot is in the writing but Maslany pulls it off just so well.
The only thing I don't like about the series is having to wait a whole year for it to come back!! Torture!!

(5,946 posts)where Tatiana talked about how she created a whole life for each character and to keep them straight, she created different playlists for them and she would listen to the music during film breaks before she plays a character. It was interesting, you should google it.

(23,898 posts)So thrilled to see all of the extended family at the end with Sarah, Cosima, Helena and Allison all together. Helena was a hoot this season and Allison was pretty rocking as well.

(9,497 posts)which is shocking that Viola Davis is the first African American woman to win an emmy for lead of a drama series. That is seriously insane. She had some amazing moments with her character that was beyond courageous acting, but I am sad Tatiana didn't win.
I don't believe there could be an Orphan Black without her.
So, well done Viola, if Tatiana was going to lose, I am glad it is to you and your incredible acting skills. Here's to you Tatiana, we all appreciate your talent!
