How was Mr. Robot? Finally watched it. I really like it.

Caught my interest and kept it all the way. Well-acted. Some really neat stuff snuck in that is on the lefty side of things. Quick reference and pictures you might miss if you blink.

It held her interest--she was able to get the gist even without understanding details.

It's promising. Short article for those who haven't heard of it:

I watched Episode 3 the other night and I feel the show is going in the right direction. I like it a lot but that might be because they finally did a Tech show right.

If all this is is a riff on Fight Club in a cyberpunk setting, then I think I will be a bit disappointed but it is still a good ride. I think it is pretty clear that Mr. Robot is another personality. But I don't think it is that simple. Part of me thinks that Tyrell is another personality, too. Or the main personality. Or something.

It certainly feels that way. If the only big reveal is that Elliot and Mr. Robot are the same person a la Fight Club, then that will be a let down. That's just light mind petting. But even if that is the case, I really like what they are doing with the characters and message and all.

"Something more" does seem to be going on. Every episode has these little twists and spins that don't quite fit the norm of your everyday TV show.

I love Elliot. What a weird, quirky, caring character. And Christian Slater is really good! He doesn't look like he's aged much. The whole concept is really cool. Glad to hear it got renewed. Hope they can keep it good.

god damn I love this show. The last 10 minutes of the show was so great visually.

Did not see her being his sister coming. Though maybe that isn't even true. Who knows.

And it may be even more complex than we think it is with what we think was revealed with the Mr. Robot character.

There was a little to "that movie" when they played an instrumental version of that song with those lyrics, "With your feet in the air and your head on the ground..."!

Now we are left trying to sort out what is real in this unreal world we have entered. Rather than explanation we have more questions.

Still a very good anarchic subversive story, and we are in it!
