Were in the first few pages and already unsure about Lt Gov and Atty gen.
Does anyone have a strong opinion about Dave Jones?

(51,675 posts)Eleni Kounalakis is the appeal to please both progressives and centrists. She is also endorsed by Sen Harris and Pelosi.
Atty Gen... It is between Becerra (he did sue Trump 30+ times) but he Didn't get the endorsement during the party's convention. Dave Jones got more delegate votes and he may do more as far as environ regulations, gun laws and the opioid crisis. He has served two terms as insur comm and leads consumer protection agency and is a fresh candidate with new ideas.
I like the voter guide from City Beat (Dems local mag from San Diego). Check it out at this link.

I am voting for Antonio in the primaries instead of Gavin since Gavin has 33%, Antonio has 13% and the GOP frontrunner Cox has 20%. I want to keep the GOP candidate out of the midterms so this is my strategy to get the top two Dems (Antonio and Gavin) into the midterms with no GOP candidate. I wish I could vote in districts 49:Issue, 50:Hunter, 48:Rohrabacher, 39:Royce. I would love to get rid of all of them!

I like Becerra for Atty Gen.. because he is experienced and has worked with Obama in Washington. (His Washington "know-how" would be helpful in California).
I have read that both Eleni Kounalakis and Jeff Bleich are good for Lt. Governor. Today, Bleich was endorsed by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.
Teacher friends have recommended Tony Thurmond for Sup. of Public Instruction. Marshall Tuck is supported by charter school organizations. (Some of Antonio Villaraigosa's ads have been paid for by charter school organization as well.)

(51,675 posts)I decided to vote no on Antonio in the midterms due to taking funds from charter schools, same for Marshall Tuck. Thurmond sounds good though. Thanks for the tip.

(5,085 posts)Gayle McLaughlin as Mayor of Richmond made the news for her attempts to use Eminent Domain to help foreclosure victims. She got a lot of heat from Chevron via negative advertising after she got them to pay the $114 million.

(2,192 posts)A poll worker where I dropped my ballot off said that the way to get it thin enough to not require even MORE extra postage (as mail that's thicker than ordinary mail) is to fold each ballot sheet individually and then put them in the envelope. I lined mine up and folded them together, which she cheerfully told me was a "rookie mistake"
