This is the guy...

...who, single-handedly wants to destroy the Florida university system. Sen. J.D. Alexanders proposal would strip 60% of the budget for the University of South Florida, the largest in the SUS and more than twice the amount of the seond largest recipient of the proposed cuts, and immediately grant independence of the "Florida Polytechnic University", currently known as USF-Polytechnic. This is in direct defiance of several benchmarks and measures passed by the Board of Governors back in December, to gradually break off USF-Poly.

USF is the the third largest university in the state of Florida for both research and enrollment. The impact these cuts would have is catastrophic to the welfare of thousands of jobs in the Tampa Bay area and USF system.

JD Alexander has turned this into a personal vendetta against USF for fighting off an independence motion toward USF-Poly. Many Florida Republicans have come out in protest of this major cut. Please contact your state representative, senator, and Gov. Scott to urge them to do the right thing. I want J.D. Alexander's name and face plastered in any place we can find room.
