I'm just catching up on my DVR'd "Morning Joe" and Jocelyn Benson was interviewed.

Mika asked her about the open Senate seat and asked if she was considering running and Benson didn't say, "no."

Veeeeeeery interesting. And exciting! I like Mayor Pete, but Benson has lived in Michigan since moving to Detroit in 2004. She won the SOS race by the largest margin of the statewide elections.

there are totally kicking ass. The governor, AG and Sec'y of State are all women and the legislature is in Democratic control.

They're doing something right in Michigan. I hope Secretary Benson runs for the Senate seat and keeps it Democratic.

Amazing women won reelection for all 3 major executive positions in the state, gov, AG, and SoS. Took the House. Took the Senate. Winny Brinks named first female speaker of the House in state history. Kept Dem control of the State Supreme Court while seating the first black woman ever to sit on it in Kyra Harris Bolden. Dems swept all open races for for state university board seats. Garlin Gilchrist II was the first black lieutenant governor in state history and won a second term with Whitmer.

We expanded and protected voting rights.

We enshrined a woman's right to choose into our state constitution.

It was as clean a sweep as could be imagined in Michigan, led by our strong women winning re-election.
