This winter was one of Detroit's top 10 warmest on record
(Detroit Free Press) Thick coats, heavy snow boots and knit hats weren’t the typical apparel for a Michigan winter this year. Rather, hoodies, sweatpants, and sneakers were much more common.
Metro Detroit’s 2022-23 winter season took its place as a top 10 warmest winter record holder, ranking 7th.
According to the National Weather Service in White Lake, the high temperature reached 33.4 degrees Fahrenheit, placing this winter among its warmer years.
