Had to run into the city today, the best apple orchard around this area set up an impromptu sale in the Tractor Supply parking lot in West Branch. Grabbed a boatload, well carload, of apples at .50 a pound. Autumn and Honey Crisps.
Anyway
on the trip to town with the early morning sunshine glowing on the treetops the reds and muted yellows were resplendently showing off their colors. Some reds peeking through the green are so scarlet it was as they were screaming at you to notice them. I do believe we are in for a very beautiful Autumn.

(9,835 posts)The Au Sable lookouts over the river can be stunning in autumn colors. Lumbermans Monument is one of the best. Plus most of the tourists have gone home so its not too busy.
Have a good time on vacation.
