Law license of Democratic state-auditor candidate Zack Space suspended

The law license of Democratic state-auditor candidate Zack Space, a former congressman, was suspended Wednesday, according to the Ohio Supreme Court’s website.

The Ohio Republican Party flagged the suspension.

Space said he hasn’t been practicing law and had been on inactive status between 2006 and 2011. He went back on active status in 2011 but still didn’t practice, Space said Friday evening.

“I never used it,” he said.

Space said he planned to again inactivate his license, but he didn’t file the necessary paperwork in September. He said he plans to rectify the matter Monday.
