Well, a Phillies fan took one in the face resulting in a black eye.

Wonder why they were launching hot dogs wrapped in duct tape?? They should stick to soft things like t shirts!
At the minor league team's field here in town, they just toss the items underhand instead of launching them from air guns.

Even soft stuff coming down from a height can hurt more than its weight, though.
