GRAPEVINE — Sen. Ted Cruz said Saturday that Congress should spend the year passing legislation and developing policies that put people back to work and revitalize the economy.

And the freshman Republican senator from Texas chided President Barack Obama for “giving up” on bipartisanship.

“I agree that 2014 should be a year of action,” Cruz told The Dallas Morning News before attending the Denton County Republican Party’s Lincoln Reagan Dinner. “But it should be bipartisan action through Congress focusing on jobs and economic growth.”

Last year, Cruz led an unsuccessful effort to defund the Affordable Care Act, which he describes as the nation’s No. 1 job killer.

Good Ted, stay there.

Oh and Tedster, ya finally got the message...

The top priority of Americans right now is bringing back jobs and economic growth,” he said. “Absolutely Congress could pass meaningful legislation this year if we would stop focusing on the president’s divisive agenda.

Sorry Ted ya missed the bus on that one. It's been American's top priority all along, you were the ones that have worked against us every step of the way. You shut the government down. You have had a disastrous effect on this economy. And now you have the gall to say this President's agenda is divisive@#$%&^&*!

LOL, TexasTowelie. The elephant is blue because it has been pouting, throwing temper tantrums and holding it's breath until it gets it's way!

Way to go Ted.

You asked good questions as to why the political reporters provide Cruz a platform that makes him appear to be a moderate. Unfortunately there is a conservative bias in most of the newspapers throughout Texas, particularly in the Panhandle and in rural areas.

If the congressional Repuds had genuinely been interested in growing the economy, they wouldn't have spent the last five years working to sand-bag the President and blocking every congressional initiative he put forward.

Tedito's polemics are more Teapublican polemics, and the audience that applauds is either duped or perpetrating the fraud.
