Supreme Court has not acted on second request to review Fisher v. UT

The Supreme Court has not taken action on a second request to review the case against University's undergraduate admissions on Monday.

The Supreme Court has met for the previous four Thursdays to discuss the Fisher vs. University of Texas case regarding racial and ethical admissions into the University.

Abigail Fisher, a white woman, was denied admission in 2008 to UT and sued the University for discrimination based on race, sending the case to the Supreme Court. In 2013, a federal judge in Austin and the 5th U.S. circuit appeal upheld UT’s program but the Supreme Court voted to send the case back to the appeals court.

A year later, the 5th circuit denied in November 2014 a rehearing on the case.
