Didn’t his grandfather emigrate from Germany? I know my great-great-great grandfather came to the U.S. from what is now known as Nigeria. Based on that information, I'm far more American than he is…
And same with me, maternal grandparents came from Poland, one set of paternal great grandparents from Ireland, but my paternal grandmother's ancestors were early Dutch settlers from the 1600s and fought in the Revolutionary War - my grandmother's aunt commissioned a book to trace their ancestry. So both of us have ancestors who go back much farther than TFG. Where would TFG be if not for that grandfather? And yet he hates immigrants?? His ancestors would have likely fought against the allies for Hitler - who he "loves..."
