from Capital Weather gang:JUST IN: We've INCREASED our snowfall accumulation forecast

for Tues afternoon. Now expecting Coating to 2" along I-95 corridor, and 1-3" to the east. Snow could be HEAVY from 3 to 6p on Tues.

National Weather Service has EXPANDED winter weather advisory to cover Montgomery and Fairfax counties, in effect noon to 7p Tues.

Given possibility of HEAVY snow between 3 and 6p Tuesday, consider leaving work early - BEFORE 3 p.m., or delaying - AFTER 7 p.m. to avoid the possibility of heavy traffic and possible gridlock.

Note- we also anticipate some schools may dismiss early on Tues and many will cancel after school activities.

I was aware of the forecast, so I headed out to the store earlier than usual to beat the panic shoppers, but didn't quite. Eggs, milk, and bread seemed to be popular items. I always wonder if everyone decided to have French toast.

It sounds like tomorrow afternoon's commute could be difficult for some up there. I don't miss driving to my gigs in the Baltimore/DC area a bit.
