6 months in, who is getting COVID-19 in King County? Here's a breakdown by race, age
At once the focal point of the novel coronavirus crisis, King County's case rate has slowed compared to the U.S.'s other hotspots. Even in Washington, it's been bumped out of the 10 counties with the highest rates of cases per 100,000.
But the virus was still spreading in July, and the state was carefully optimistic about decreases and plateaus it's seen in the county, especially as those decreases look to be new.

Cases are almost split between men and women
In King County, 51% of reported cases were women and 49% were men, according to King County Public Health. This almost flipped in Seattle where women made up 49.5% of cases and men accounted for 50.5%. KCPH reported that sex was missing for 518 records.
