Gerald Butts quits Justin Trudeau's team because of the SNC Lavelin Affair I'm guessing.

Dam. I was hoping it was not him who called the attorney general. There is an election this year. He is Trudeau's strategist.

not corrupt countries, the country should have a discussion about how we are going to deal with it. I mean that seems what Putin is creating. A new cold war. As a company you have to decide if you are going to be corrupt or not. And then live the rest of your life that way and trade with those countries. I think if you put that question to quebecers and remind people how corruption keeps people so poor and destroys initiative they would agree SNC Lavelin needs to take the hits. And live the rest of its life building things in countries that are not under the Russian model of graft. Or at least try to do honest bidding.

but it is a HUGE can of worms, politically, of course.

With a federal election only several months away, the Liberals could suffer seriously at the polls if this predicament doesn't get resolved somehow.
