Been playing with an old Socket A computer.

Someone gave me an old HP desktop that had been flung across the room because it was freezing up. Wanted me to wipe the hard drive before scrapping out.
It actually still worked even if the case was bent. For an old 32 bit cpu running at 2.2 GHz and 1 Gb DDR RAM it wasn't too bad. I pulled the hard drive since it tested good and 160 Gb IDE drives are few and far between.
The only thing that didn't work was the onboard LAN but that was easy enough to fix.
The old Socket A cpus were practically indestructible-you had to try hard to fry one.

It still worked afterwards even though the case looked like a Dali painting..

around here, too. I think it has an Athlon 2.8 Thoroughbred core CPU on it. Not sure where I put it though.
