Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumThe Sooner Bernie Sanders Ends His Campaign, the Better
It is Sanderss prerogative to remain in the race. But exercising that prerogative makes it easier for mega-wealthy conservatives to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to lethally bludgeon both Clintons candidacy and the progressive agenda to which Sanders has devoted his career. This is not solely about combating the grave threat of a Donald Trump presidency. It is also about the potential of a Democratic landslide and the progressive achievements that could follow, which is an opportunity too rare and precious to squander. The best way for Sanders to advance the progressive cause is to end his campaign and unabashedly ask his supporters to join him in helping to elect Hillary Clinton.

(2,348 posts)if he had changed his focus to Trump, and stopped attacking Hillary and the DNC. He didn't. The fact that he's still at it is why, now that there is a defined opponent, his quixotic quest to overturn the results of the primaries is no longer cute. He does need to get out, so we can start running the general election without him yelling in the background about being disrespected.

@dr_stroud @Nate_Cohn no, these voters don't care either way about Sanders, they're just crossing over to mess with the D primary.
