(92,528 posts)endorsed or supported her.
I was banned from the Sanders group months ago for suggesting that whoever was the Democratic nominee, they would need a Democratic Congress to get something done.
I actually used to like Sanders, but that has changed:
On DU, right wing sources have been used for months to trash Hillary. Here is one of the most outrageous ones attacking Planned Parenthood when they endorsed Hillary, where the poster thought the best way to make his argument was to post from an extreme R/W anti-abortion site:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251992133
Then there were the ones who were more direct, and expressed what they thought of Hillary and her supporters, with many RECS:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1280104210
and finally there are those who have declared they would absolutely NEVER vote for Hillary if she was the nominee:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251923506
Yes, I am pissed at the constant bashing of Hillary. Not to carry on a useful discussion, but simply for the sake of bashing
While I have no doubt that the majority of Sanders supporters will support whoever the Democratic nominee is, and vice versa in regard to Clinton supporters, in the microcosm they call DU, I am not so sure that is the case

(44,274 posts)I despise that RW anti-Clinton stuff I see posted here on DU and constantly push back against those who go into the gutter w Breitbart, Fox 'News', WND, and the vile stuff some people have brought here. Simply because it attacks HRC.
It makes me sick. I feel like some of those posters are naive. Others know exactly what they are doing.
I am sure some of your other group members can tell you about how I have pushed back against right wing slime attacks on Clinton, Obama, Bernie and other Democrats.
It is unfortunate that you've formed the opposite impression of me based on posts from others. I always love and enjoy your posts.

(9,494 posts)I think it's fitting that the people who brought us the email scandal is out to get Bernie & Jane. You know, a broken clock is right twice a day and these folks seem to have found, at least, two of Bernie & Jane's scandals. Maybe they have hit on something. It sure seems to have rattled Jane Sanders. Otherwise, she wouldn't be hiding somewhere when Bernie is "winning" the nomination.

(2,792 posts)As much as I detest this legal group, the paperwork they submitted to request a federal investigation of possible loan fraud committed by Jane Sanders in securing a loan for Burlington College, has merit. If this investigation has begun, it is reasonable to assume that officials at the bank have been questioned and certain phone evidence has been acquired.
It is possible that it was simply Bernie's position as a sitting senator and his association with many involved in the transaction (bank, VEDA, realtor) that helped get the loan approved. There is certainly nothing wrong with that. Since he has friends at the People's Bank and conducts business with them, he may have made phone calls to them about other matters.
On the other hand, we do have another similar case that comes to mind -- Bernie's refusal to stop Vermont from dumping nuclear waste in Sierra Blanca, Texas:
https://bluenationreview.com/bernie-pushed-to-dump-nuclear-waste-on-low-income-community/
We also now know that Jane Sanders has profited ($4k in one year) from her association with the Vermont group that oversaw this waste-exporting project. Bernie's vote on Sierra Blanca and his wife's engagement with that project, constitute, at the very least, a very interesting coincidence.
If, as the law firm indicates, there is an ongoing investigation underway, Jane will avoid the limelight where she can be asked any questions about this investigation. Nor do I think she will answer questions about tax returns, since those returns may show perennial profit from her association with the group that was involved with Sierra Blanca.
Bernie does have a history of paying family members for services during campaigns. I believe that Jane made $90k during one campaign. There is nothing illegal about.
Jane's responsibility for the closing of Burlington College seems pretty evident to me. It also seems evident that she overstated pledge amounts in order to secure a loan for Burlington College.
I am skeptical that Bernie Sanders actually made a phone call to influence the loan underwriter's decision. As I stated before, Jane's being married to a United States senator was a strong reference all by itself.
Of course, Bernie has said and done a lot of things in the last several months that have really shaken whatever faith I had left in his character.
