Bernie Sanders reaffirms his lack of respect for democracyBy kos

Voters? They had their chance and voted wrong.
Bernie Sanders is still praying for a superdelegate coup that will never happen.
Bernie Sanders reaffirmed Sunday that he is not planning to accept defeat in the primary race until the Democratic Party's convention in July, regardless of the outcome of the June 7 primaries, which include delegate-rich California and New Jersey.
The system is riggedthe first states were lily white, giving Sanders an early boost. Hes gotten 46 percent of the delegates while garnering only 43 percent of the popular vote. Hes benefited from low-turnout, undemocratic caucuses when subsequent higher-participation primaries delivered strikingly different results in Washington and Nebraska. And now, even with all those structural advantages, he still wants the supers to steal the election for him.
Ultimately, what surprises me most isnt Sanders autocratic tendencies. Its that so many people are playing along, as if democracy is optional.

(2,542 posts)1. "as if democracy is optional" Yeah, that sounds about right from the same people who think that
because they didn't win, the system "must be rigged against" them.
Such people are not progressives, but in fact authoritarians masquerading as progressives.

(2,792 posts)6. Bernie is one very sad and lonely man. He is a rigid authoritarian.
He wants other people to believe things and do things his way or no way at all.
This is directly opposed to the spirit and methods of democracy. Where did this undemocratic anti-Democrat come from, and when will he just go away and not be heard from again?

(28,270 posts)7. Yup if you are not on Bernie's side
You are automatically an enemy of the people and a tool of wall street.
Sanders is the tea party left.
