and yeah, that'll increase his popularity, cut services to the parts of the city that are ready to explode because he's fouled up everything.

They got spoiled with Chavez who was so good at schmoozing the right wing into playing ball with the government that a more hamfisted Maduro is looking twice as bad as he is.

What they'll get is another bunch of fascists.

And those with cars are the wealthy for the most part. So this literally is meant to stop the poor from organizing. It's going to be interesting how this turns out. People protest to protest at a given point. I can't say for sure what point that is as I'm not clear if this thing has legs, but if it does, then more and more poorer people will get in on the cause, it's only a matter of time.

and that is a blunder of colossal proportion, as are the heavy handed tactics of the police/military in trying to silence them.

He's jumped the shark, I'm afraid, and there will be no going back.

Alas, Chavez's revolution will fail to outlive him by much.

5. Uh, shutting down public transportation is helping the poor, how?

You do realize the wealthy class has cars, no?

The gasoline subsidy doesn't even benefit the poor except those who choose to smuggle it into Colombia.

You always blindside me with your cogent arguments that supporting the wealthy elite against the evil plots of the democratically elected left is the progressive thing to do.
