Medical residents denounce conditions at Venezuela hospital. Get arrested.

Medical reporters of crisis in the Central Hospital of Valencia were arrested

Getting out with their usual koala bags was enough to be stopped. That was the excuse of officials of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC) to point out two resident doctors of the Hospital City Dr. Enrique Tejera (CHET), of stealing medical surgical equipment.

This is Wolmar Granado and Diego Zerpa, residents of the first year of the Graduate Surgery, who at 4 pm on Friday were arbitrarily seized by the commission, upon leaving the health center.

Both have repeatedly denounced the crisis that exists in the institution, and were effusively defended by their colleagues, who when noticing the situation explained to the officials that what they had in their bags were personal tools as part of their daily tools of work in the place.

The troops ignored the doctors' arguments and mounted Granado and Zerpa in the back of a white van, they put a kind of hood and took them to the subdelegation of Cicpc Plaza de Toros, south of Valencia.

Koala bags are know here as fanny packs. Nurses and doctors use them to carry tape, scissors, clamps, stethoscopes, dosage calculators and other things they routinely use.
