Oligarchs expect universities to produce more oligarchs.

More generally, he expects Harvard to return to its core mission of serving the wealthy elite. I'm pretty sure he knows perfectly well that the whole diversity, equity, inclusion thing is no real danger to him or those of his caste. He's just annoyed because he has to listen to people he doesn't like.
