(14,980 posts)That gov't agencies from the epa to noaa to usda and many, many, others have been rolling back environmental protections at an alarming rate. It's a free for all to give gifts to corporate food and chemicals.
Just this week, nmfs/noaa rolled back obama protections that restricted commercial fishing in the sea mounts and canyons in the northeast. These are critical habitats that have been abused for years. There is no scientific reason to roll back those rules, but they don't care.
This is happening every week, in every part of the country. Controls are being destroyed and even in the short time since they were changed there have been notable impacts. The long term effects will be devstating.
This is the unseen horror that the gop is committing every day, and because trump creates so much distraction nobody in the media is focusing on it.
I know your question was rhetorical, but I'm fuming so I vented.
