Trans-Alaska pipeline will go offline for summer maintenance starting Friday
Alyeska Pipeline Services Co. is planning a 36-hour shutdown of the pipeline as part of its summer maintenance program. The company also is assessing the best way to fix a tiny underground leak in the pipeline.
