One thing that blew me away at the national museum in Taiwan was the historical timelines of different cultures. The maya timeline was prominent and over 1000 years.

And that's anywhere you go. Even in the Arctic, culture goes back thousands of years, and you can see the ebb and flow of it.
And we only have bits and pieces of it left now.

This thing is interesting in concept but very flawed in execution. Obviously, it's wholly Eurocentric, with the only attention outside the Bible and Europe given to "great empires."
