It's just another shitty day for the average Palestinian as he is beaten by thugs from the most moral army in the world.

(12,606 posts)Perhaps ober missed the video where the IDF just beat the shit out of an unarmed Palestinian? \
I guess when one has video evidence of cruelty of police and the military beating up and even killing people, in America or Israel, there will be a certain amount of nay sayers that will do their derndest to pretend it never happened; mumbling something unintelligible in the corner.
Video of oppression is video evidence, ober, from Ferguson, North Charleston, Baltimore, Beitunia or when the IDF snuff out 4 Palestinian children on the beaches of Gaza.
I'll leave to to think about that with your shame.

(6,171 posts)IDF court-martials soldiers who beat Palestinian man
Source: Times of Israel
Investigation finds that initial arrest of victim was legitimate, but manner in which it was carried out was incorrect
The IDF court-martialed three soldiers from the Kfir Brigade on Sunday after they were seen in a video beating an unarmed Palestinian man during a clash over the weekend in the West Bank, It sentenced two soldiers to suspended prison sentences and ordered detention on base for a third.
Kfir Brigade commander Colonel Asher Ben-Lulu sentenced one soldier, who was seen cursing the Palestinian man, to 30 days detention on base. Two other soldiers, filmed beating up the man were given a suspended sentence of 28 days in a military jail. Their company commander was also reprimanded by Ben-Lulu.
The Israeli military had ordered an investigation into the beating by the group of soldiers during a confrontation last Friday in the Jalazoun refugee camp, near the West Bank town of Ramallah.

(12,606 posts)Face it, and this is an uncomfortable fact that you will have to acknowledge: without that video those soldiers would have walked.
They were caught this time, but next time the animals, the "little snakes" as Ayelet Shaked calls them, will still be beaten, or shot or dead.
That's the mindset of RW, colonial, apartheid Zionism. Live with it.

Or "not fooled at all" about the IDF pretending to do the right thing....

(12,606 posts)Israel just patted itself on the back saying that they did nothing wrong by killing four children on a Gaza beach.
Israel's politician are calling for annexing the West Bank.
Netanyahu stated before the world that there will be no Palestinians state.
And all the while Palestinians are beaten, their property stolen or destroyed, some of them are killed in cold blood.
That's the brutal realism about Israel. These guys were caught. There was evidence. The vast majority of time the evidence is, not available, buried or falls down the memory hole.
The IDF did the right thing because they had no choice, but next time that four more Palestinian children, or the hundreds dead lest we forget, are blown apart the IDF can pat itself on the back and take a victory lap.
And the only fools here are the ones that believe in Israeli justice for all.

(58,724 posts)Mondoweiss takes the story from the other sources and packages it into propaganda (which is what they usually do). They take out the parts that don't fit the propaganda. Focus on the parts that do and then add their own little snarky comments to underline their propaganda message.
Israel National News often does the same thing.

(45,850 posts)Just three days after three IDF soldiers were sentenced for the allegedly unnecessary beating of a Palestinian being arrested during clashes near Ramallah, a full video of the incident was released by Palestinian sources Wednesday, showing no definitive proof that the Palestinian civilian attempted to take one of the soldier's weapons as the IDF claimed after initial investigations.
An original video of the incident, which erupted on social media on Saturday, showed the Palestinian being thrown to the ground and hit in the face by one of the soldiers, but it did not reveal what led to the heavy-handed arrest, leaving room for speculation that the soldiers were justified at least in making the arrest.
The clip released on Wednesday however, documents in full, the curses exchanged between the soldiers and the Palestinian as well as one moment in which the civilian brushes up against a soldier, but does not seem to make an aggressive grab for his weapon.
In addition to the questionable arrest tactics seen in the original clip, the full video shows one soldier forcing the Palestinian to the ground by hitting him over the back of the head with a rifle.
