Glenn Beck 'Horrified' by 'Glee,' Working on Alternative

Glenn Beck has a new mission: He’s out to take down Glee.

Beck, speaking at the Faith and Freedom Coalition conference in Washington, D.C., Friday, said he and his wife were horrified by the show, so he’s come up with a plan for a conservative alternative, Talking Points Memo reports.

“A year ago I was watching the show Glee with my wife and we watched it like this,” Beck said, with an exaggerated expression of his jaw dropping. “It’s horrifying some of the things that they’re teaching high-schoolers. But it’s brilliantly done. It’s brilliantly done.”

The right-wing talker is developing a “push-back with artists with music, but not the stereotypical conservative Lee Greenwood music,” he told conference attendees.

Kind of a GOP/GLEE hybrid show where only the music of Ted Nugent, Lee Greenwood, and Charlie Daniels may be performed, and none of those unpleasant ethnic or LGBT characters are allowed.

It's one of those words where the sound gives you a clue to the meaning.

Sadly, I doubt "GLOP" would even fall into the "so bad it's good" category. It would probably just be bad.

Right-wingers are horrible at producing any type of entertainment, the thought of a right-wing musical show written by Glenn Beck truly makes me shudder. It could actually make for good comedy though, my guess is that the show will fail miserably but the You-Tube clips will live in infamy for their unintentional hilarity.

understand that Greenwood and Toby Keith represent the APEX of conservative musicians (and Marvin Hamlisch); the best Beck can hope for is the musical stylings of Uncle Ruckus
