My husband and I had a small disagreement when we were looking for a Realtor to sell his mother's house.
He had met someone on one of his jobs who impressed him, I thought we should use someone who lives in the neighborhood.
So, we went to googling, and the one he wanted listed this on her webpage.
My Specialties
Golf, gay friendly, sports, Oklahoma, empty -nesters, first time home buyers, relocation.

Guess who we are picking? I was so happy to see this in knuckledrag Oklahoma.
She is very successful according to hubby.
( note: our daughter is gay and lives in the same town as we do, so this is important to our family )

(41,832 posts)In the neighbor where I live, it seems most of the sales are to single people. I know my new next door neighbor is a gay single man.
Of course it's a nice little middle-class neighborhood. Nothing fancy, but it's fairly peaceful. Not many houses go up for sale because most people stay.

(53,475 posts)... to them while others are shunning them (or worse) it's smart marketing. I believe one or more the cruise lines have been offering "gay cruises" for a while.
It's also a nice gesture to say "I value you and your business despite what others may say about me for doing so".

Did you go down near Poteau? I think I remember that was our connection.. or was it Ada?
I live in Tulsa, which is a lot different than SE Oklahoma. LOL - we even have a large gay pride parade.
Never any problems that I know of.
Call Me Wesley
(38,187 posts)We arrived in Tulsa (the international airport they call it ...) and went there once before we left. What can I say? I don't know when I lost count of the churches, saw the bars without windows way out of town and, surprisingly enough, had a nice chat with a gay guy in front of Walgreens. He was ringing the bell for the salvation army.
I don't think they have a gay pride parade there. They should, of course.

(54,064 posts)We had one too when moving back to Oklahoma. It was very nice to be treated like a real couple and she listened to both our opinions (mostly mine because I am kinda of a, well, fill in the blank).
