Sometimes I lose patience with twitter. I'm not a member.

My grandparents were very much a part of the "don't ask, don't tell culture."

They had LGBTQ family, friends, and coworkers and to them that was just life. Nobody was shunned, nobody was told they were going to hell, nobody demanding they should accept Jesus and hammer themselves straight.

But it's still a long road from acceptance to celebration.

All my grandparents could manage the acceptance, but one of my grandfathers had a lot of trouble with the celebration.
