WTF pt 2- Dick Cheney Is Lobbying For Gay Marriage In Maryland

http://www.businessinsider.com/dick-cheney-gay-marriage-maryland-2012-2

Dick Cheney is getting back involved in politics — but this time, he's fighting for the other side.

The Baltimore Sun reports that the former vice president has been lobbying for same-sex marriage in Maryland this week. According to the paper, Cheney offered to meet with at least one lawmaker there — Republican Wade Kach — to discuss his vote on the gay marriage issue.

The Maryland legislature is in the middle of an intense debate over whether or not to legalize same-sex marriage in the state. If it does, the state would join New Jersey and Washington as the third state whose legislature voted to legalize same-sex marriage legislation in as many weeks.

Voting on the bill was pushed back earlier today amid concern by Democrats that the measure would not pass.

You see life through your own experience. when you have a gay kid you understand how sexual orientation is not a personal choice. It is about equal protection for all and Cheney knows it.
As much as I disagree with Cheney on most things, I have to agree that the man has the balls to stand for what he believes in, most of them wrong of course (as I see them). If democrats had had the same resolution as Cheney we could have accomplished something.

BREAKING: Maryland House Of Delegates Passes Marriage Equality Bill | After two days of contentious debate and the consideration of several amendments, the Maryland House of Delegates has passed marriage equality legislation with a vote of 71-67. One of the amendments passed delayed the date of enactment from October to January. Another created a non-severability clause, such that if the religious protections are overturned by the courts, the entire law would have to be deemed invalid. The measure still has to advance through the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee and full Senate, and even then, it is likely to be challenged by a referendum.

Did he feel really really hot while dead? LOL! There's no saving you Dick. This compromise doesn't make up for ANY of the misery you have caused us, gay or straight. Where were you when you were the President? Oh I mean VP of course. Wink! Wink!

By nice people with similar heart conditions.

I'd say it's more of a mechanical problem with the blood flow to his brain.

equal marriage is primarily vocally opposed by people who THINK they don't know any gay people. We need to have some sort of national coming out day to spin the heads of all the fundies, and maybe we'll convince them that they're not the only people in the country.
