So yeah, besides that.

After all, Herman Cain isn't the last word on civil rights either.

a certain type of people that are homophobic when they have a sort of a I dunno sweater vest wearing, foot tapping, diaper wearing vibe. Not saying Santorum is a closet case, but he has that kind of closet case look to him and he is openly hostile towards gay men. So, I think it is offensive to gay closet types.

No reason a man and woman can't make Santorum, if so inclined...

It's more like throwing something Rick Santorum hates back into his face. if he weren't such a raging homophobe himself, it wouldn't even be a "thing."

Hell, we can be reasonably sure he hates the thought of anal sex in any direction, since it doesn't result in another baby to be traumatized for Jesus.

But, like I said - straight dude here, so feel free to take it with a block of salt

No.

It was started by a Gay man....Dan Savage.....and it's using language as empowerment in response to Santorum's homophobia.

Dan Savage (gay) started it, to equate Santorum with the act he seemed to so despise. Its a little like equating the guy who fears snakes with the name of a snake. Those who handle the snake name don't fear it.

Partly because of those who have used it publicly who are pro-gay or gay themselves. I'm sure if it were used over at Freeperland then it would be bigoted. It's about context. I'm fairly comfortable with the context in terms of where it came from and the public figures who use it. A couple of potential bad apples won't spoil the pie IMHO.

we are more than sexual activity. And its ummmm..... sequelae.

I mean this in the sense of the second, not first, dictionary definition of the word: "2. A secondary consequence or result".

and the defintion of Santorum "The frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex." The key word is sometimes. If Santorum is produced, you're doing it wrong. Hygiene people. Hygiene. However, I can see your point.
