(3,266 posts)ailments: crashing headache every morning, (i mean every. damn. morning.) muscle stiffness, especially my neck. Joint pain and stiffness, my right hip so bad that I truly believed I needed a hip replacement! Dizziness / vertigo - and this weird electrical buzzing in my head when I turned my head to the left.
ALL symptoms disappeared. Headache gone in two days, day three I shocked my myself when I bounded out of bed with no stiffness or dizziness. Two weeks all the rest gone.

I hate to say it, but the majority of these studies are so flawed and badly structured that any conclusions coming from them at all are specious at best and outright prevarications at worst. And the "women over 50" part is surely controlled in double blind experiments with adequate control populations too, right?
What is one of the top 5 causes of death in ALL women and men over 50? Heart attack / Stroke / heart disease...draw your own conclusions from there are the quality of the study suggesting a causal link to one of many behavioral patterns.
Of course, that doesn't mean drinking soda is harmless, but I see so many "studies" that are baseless like this that it boils my blood because it is nonsense and woo that makes it possible for people to look at things like climate change and dispute the science there because of things like this...arrgggghhhh.
I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick a football at times...
