Oh God, I'm talking to myself forty years past...

... and I clearly remember talking to my future self, whose advice I ignored, of course.

Now I'm caught in this late 'seventies time loop where I hear a retro song playing at Walmart (don't ask me why I was there today) and break down in PTSD tears.

My younger self was a fucking idiot who hurt everyone who tried to help him and it's possible I haven't yet learned how to forgive that guy.

We aren’t the same person we were 40 years ago..hopefully, we’ve learned kindness and have made life changes. Sounds like you have so forgive yourself and enjoy the next 40 years without any regret 🤗

I've also improved with the years. It's now that matters and what we've learned. Do something kind for someone and forgive yourself. You're not that guy anymore.
